Crisis to Compassion
“During the COVID-19 pandemic, founder Maya Nathani faced a personal health crisis while working within strained healthcare systems.
This experience revealed critical gaps in senior and geriatric care delivery, particularly around access, workforce shortages,
and continuity of care. Universal Health Hub was established to address these gaps through structured care programs and
technology-enabled solutions.
Triumph through Trials
While undergoing treatment, Maya completed her nursing program as an Honor Roll student and received multiple provincial and
national leadership recognitions. These milestones reinforced UHH’s commitment to clinical excellence, leadership, and
high-quality care delivery within institutional healthcare environments.
Empowering Excellence
Universal Health Hub was recognized for business excellence and workforce leadership, with over 95% women-led staff.
UHH expanded into professional education, training nurses and healthcare workers in advanced foot care, diabetic care,
and senior-focused clinical services to support healthcare system capacity.
Leading the way
UHH became a certified Women Business Enterprise (WBE) and was approved under the Canada Digital Adoption Program,
reflecting its growing role as both a healthcare services provider and healthcare technology partner for public and private organizations.
Empowering Seniors
Today, Universal Health Hub supports over 1,000 seniors monthly and partners with 10+ hospitals, long-term care homes,
and retirement communities across the GTA. The organization trains over 100 nurses and 500 PSWs annually and continues
