Universal Health Hub (UHH) is the only Health Care Organization in Canada that is not only focused on senior care at home but also the Geriatric services that a LTC Home or a Retirement facility would need; including Consulting, IT Services, HealthCare services, Staffing, Training and Education. UHH was founded in 2019 by Maya. She is credited with making personal care and foot care for seniors care affordable in Ontario. Today 95% of UHH staff is women. Today, UHH services over 1,000 seniors every month in foot care, personal care and other geriatric care services. UHH services over 10 Hospitals in Toronto and GTA. UHH is contracted for providing clinical services to several LTC Homes and Retirement Homes in Toronto and GTA.

Maya, founded the company , when her personal experience of having been diagnosed with cancer led her through the journey of going through systemic barriers; she then saw the the need to create a better ecosystem. Maya decided to create Universal Health Hub (UHH) with a mission to make the experience of families pleasant and affordable when it comes to bringing personal care and foot care to seniors wherever they are: at home, Reactivation Care Centre, Long Term Care Home and Retirement Home.

Universal Health Hub has been recognized in Business Excellence of dedicated age-diverse workforce. Today 95% of caregivers in the team are women. The company’s inclusive recruitment practices has special focus on hiring for diversity with multi generational workforce. Maya, the Founder strongly believes that the age-diverse workforce has been one of the reasons for the company’s success. Universal Health Hub recruitment’s best practices has enabled the workforce to have staff in all ages from 23 years to 60 years of age. At Universal Health Hub, the average age of the workforce is 45 years; with oldest age on staff being 63 years old and youngest being 23 years old. The staff together speak over 30 languages amongst themselves which makes cultural competency as one of the biggest strengths for the company. The company believes that the age-diverse workforce has allowed the staff to train each other on skills such as persistence with patience, Inductive reasoning (no rushing with judgement), Accentuating the positive (less responsive to negatively charged situations), tech savvy millennial, adaptation skill and more. In Maya’s words: “the age-diverse workforce has allowed us to convert each others’ weaknesses into each others’ strengths”. Today, it is this multi generational workforce is what delights their customers and keeps their employees engaged.

We are not a technology company but we ensure that our clients get the best experience when before, during and after receiving our services. Hence we launched a dedicated area on our website for our caregivers and our clients. Our caregivers have a dedicated app where they can manage their shift end-to-end from beginning of a service to completion of a service. Our clients and their family have a dedicated and secured information communication platform, that is accessible 24X7. We take information protection of our clients very seriously. We have the best security controls in place while storing any data only within Canada.
Trust: care for seniors and patients
Universal Health Hub runs on trust. We ensure all our caregivers have their vaccinations done, have clean background check, no criminal record in police verification and are covered under insurance (bonded) so our clients have peace of mind. If something is wrong, client has one place to go: i.e. Universal Health Hub versus chasing freelancing caregivers that clients may not see again.
